Cancellation Policy

At ILAMOS, appointment times are reserved specifically for each client. This policy explains the arrangements for booking, rescheduling, cancelling and attending appointments.

Booking Appointments

Appointments are available for psychotherapy, counselling and clinical hypnotherapy.

Current appointment types, session durations and fees are available on the ILAMOS website and through the booking process.

An appointment is confirmed once you receive confirmation from ILAMOS.

In-Person Appointments

In-person appointments are subject to availability.

Where you request an in-person appointment, your preferred date and time may need to be confirmed before the appointment is secured.

Your appointment is confirmed once you receive booking confirmation from ILAMOS.

Telehealth Appointments

Telehealth appointments are conducted online.

Please ensure you have a suitable device, reliable internet connection and a private location where you feel comfortable speaking freely.

If significant technical difficulties prevent the session from proceeding, alternative arrangements will be discussed with you.

Rescheduling or Cancelling an Appointment

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide at least 24 hours' notice.

Appointments cancelled or rescheduled 24 hours or more before the scheduled appointment time will not incur a cancellation fee.

Appointments can be cancelled or rescheduled using the booking system or by contacting ILAMOS.

Late Cancellations

Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours' notice will incur a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the scheduled appointment fee.

Appointment times are reserved specifically for each client, and providing adequate notice allows the appointment to be offered to another client.

ILAMOS recognises that genuine emergencies and exceptional circumstances can occur. These circumstances may be considered on an individual basis, and a cancellation fee may be waived or reduced at ILAMOS's discretion where appropriate.

Missed Appointments

If you do not attend a scheduled appointment and have not provided notice, the full scheduled appointment fee will apply.

The appointment time has been reserved specifically for you and, without notice, cannot reasonably be made available to another client.

Arriving Late

If you arrive late for an appointment, the session will generally still finish at the originally scheduled time so that subsequent appointments are not affected.

The full scheduled appointment fee will still apply.

If you are significantly delayed, please contact ILAMOS as soon as possible.

Fees and Payment

Current session fees are published on the ILAMOS website and communicated during the booking process.

Payment is required in accordance with the payment arrangements advised when booking your appointment.

Any applicable late-cancellation or missed-appointment fee will be charged in accordance with this policy.

Cancellations by ILAMOS

Occasionally, ILAMOS may need to cancel or reschedule an appointment due to illness, emergency or other unforeseen circumstances.

Where this occurs, reasonable efforts will be made to notify you as soon as possible and arrange another suitable appointment.

You will not be charged a cancellation fee where ILAMOS cancels your appointment.

If you have already paid for an appointment that ILAMOS is unable to provide, the amount paid will be refunded or, with your agreement, applied to a rescheduled appointment.

Repeated Cancellations or Missed Appointments

Where appointments are repeatedly cancelled at short notice or missed, ILAMOS may discuss whether the current appointment arrangements remain suitable and whether an alternative approach would be more appropriate.

Your Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law.
